Front Page Sports: Football

This marks the beginning of our discussion on the game ‘Front Page Sports: Football’. We invite you to share your thoughts, experiences, and insights about it. Let’s delve into what makes this game stand out.

Play in the browser

Finding Front Page Football here has been the closest I have come to realizing a 30-year-old dream of playing this game! So, many thanks!!! I have downloaded the game and play through the browser. But a couple of things: 1. The simulated games never finish; 2. I’m not sure if the games are saved; Not sure if I am supposed to be doing something more to get past that point? 3. I want to create an account for DSZone, but not sure how? 4. I would like to contribute, but again, not sure how. Can anyone help? sorry if my questions are remedial. I’m not a tech genius and generally dont play games of any sort. Thanks for any help and guidance anyone can provide.

Sorry, I do not know this game, so I can’t answer questions 1 and 2. However, you can typically save your game progress. To do this, use the built-in game options and then click the diskette icon in the left toolbar. You will see a message confirming that the game has been saved in the browser’s IndexedDB. The next time you load the game, you can restore your progress using the built-in options.

Additionally, if you create an account and purchase a subscription, you will be able to store your game progress in the cloud. This is safer than storing it in the browser and allows you to access your progress from any browser.

More info here: Cloud saves | js-dos

DOS Zone does not have accounts; you can only purchase a subscription. To do so, visit js-dos 8.xx.

Here is guide: Subscription | js-dos

You can contribute by adding your favorite games that are missing from the portal. To do this, you need to create a bundle. Here is a tutorial:

Once your bundle is ready, you can publish it using the dos.zone/publish webpage.

caiiiycuk Thank you very much for your quick reply. I have been clicking the diskette save icon on the left, and it acknowledges my doing so, but also adds “You are not logged.” I created a JS DOS membership and made my first payment. Question: could doing so help facilitate better performance? Better enable automatic saving? The problem is that the game simulates (American) football games, but never finishes the final few seconds of each game and does not seem to save the progress for each game. I cannot get past this point. Will having a JS DOS membership help that? How do I pair my JS DOS membership to this game? Should I delete off my hard drive and reinstall? It never asks me to sign on, and seems to not to be able to connect my game with my membership. One more thing (sorry about this): When I log on, it asks me to provide a code that seemingly will be used for cloud storage for my game. But I dont know such a code, or where to find or get one. Is that part of the JS DOS membership? Is there something I missed? Sorry for all this, thanks for your patience on this. And if there is another way to find out specific challenges for this specific game, I can try that as well (if you have any suggestions). Thanks much. Dave A.

DOS Zone website, is a collection of DOS/Win9x games that can be run in browser using js-dos player.

js-dos is a player, and it has a subscription (or membership). It only gains ability to store save games in cloud. Other then this it does not provide any additional features or performance boost. If you want to have a better perfomance you need install DOS Browser, which is also free software. Download | DOS games in browser

To use your membership you need to enter the 5 letters code from subscription page into player.

Regrading the game problems, like not finishing the match. It could be that game is buggy or wrong version is published. Idk, do you remember how it should work?

Last thing, to store game progress game it self must support save/load progress.
